DOOM II: Heating Pad (8th map by doomdaniel95)

This map isn’t too hard either but still you have to be careful that you don’t waste too much ammo, because you won’t get much of it. Because of this, I pulled out a little trick for the 2 Barons :) The only times I died were because of the Spectres in the pit and once because of the Cyberdemon and because I had bad luck at some parts. I could find the first 2 secrets easily, even though I first thought you’d get to the Soulsphere in a different way but after looking around closely I saw that tiny walkable edge. The third secret was found with the noclip cheat :P

      @doomdaniel95 Oh and did you see that Arachnotron in the end of this map? It wasn’t doing anything maybe you should make the platform it’s standing on bigger.

      I like the baron trick. It always amazes me telefragging. Its another of those things that Doom can lay claim to inventing.

      @flobbingdonkey I actually foung it out by accident in this map, I wanted to go into the teleporter and then I was lucky enough that a Baron was standing there :) Then I thought “why don’t I do it like this everytime?”

      @bowserknight The arachnotron was specifically put that way just to be an obstacle, and one that you had to kill for a max. :)

      @flobbingdonkey Yeah, looks like I don’t put too many block monster linedefs in my maps. That’s only for the 3D floors. ;)

      @doomdaniel95 it kind of reminds me of a game i used to play, but cant remmeber for the life of me the name of it. Anyway, you had to blast your way through levels, and had a quota to fill each time. There was one level where you had to kill 3 rabbits. There were only 2 on the level! So, what you had to do, was chase one rabbit from one side of the level to the other, then it mated with the other rabbit, then you blew them all away. Pure genius!

      Hi there~~ nice new map, though a little linear. Also, some minor alignment and texture choice issues, but a big step up.

      @59squares Linear, yes. Based off (though not heavily) E2M4 of ultimate doom. Where do you see the texture issues?
      And thanks. You should see my MAP06. I think it’s the best one I’ve made, along with MAP05. :)

      For example, near 00:12, the silver pillars are not aligned properly, 00:42, bad door floor texture, and bad floor texture after that. you should also try some wall pillars or some bordering to work in some different texturing schemes.
