November 13, 2013 By admin

Using a travel pillow, I removed the padding and put in wheat berries which are going to produce moist heat for my neck and shoulder! Yes!

If you don’t have a pillow you want to sacrifice…a tube sock filled with rice, or buckwheat hulls works really well. You can add lavendar, or eucalyptus or mint too if you like. Microwave for 3 or 4 minutes…depends on the wattage of the MW. They are the best. You can make little ones from smaller socks and keep them in the freezer for “Boo Boo bags” for when the kids get bumped and bruised.

How do you add the fragrance? one drop on a piece of rice? I’ll go make one of them, that’s easier.

Put the needed amount of rice in a bucket, add several drops of the essential oil you want to use and mix it well, then pour into the tube sock. It doesn’t take very much essential oil, use sparingly. Very nice for soothing sinus issues…w/ eucalyptus/a little mint or lavender. Hope that helps

yes, so you just drop in a few drops and stir it around. I can handle that. I have some brand new balsam fir essential oil! I’m looking forward to that. I smell lavender and eucalyptus all the time with my soaps!

I like balsam fir too. I use that and sandalwood in combination for a soap that I like in the winter time.

Hope you enjoy the rice bags. They make super Christmas presents. Teen girls in our family really liked square rice bags for monthy cramping comfort too. Back or tummy. Lots of uses.
